| ... I'm currently on a 10 min +/- flood/drain cycle (due to running a 1500lph pump) I was able to maintain 23*C +/- water temp in a 16*C +/- basement over the winter. The Eheims have a range of 18 to 33*C as well. |

| Hey rvbroek, nice to see another Canadian. I'm hoping to learn from your winter experience : how much energy does it take to keep your system going over winter? Lethbridge winters are much worse than mine, so your experience would be a good conservative baseline for me. |

| ... per 1000L every 3-4 days while cycling is fine. I have a new system that has been surviving on Seasol and 2 teaspoons of Potassium bicarbonate for over 3 weeks now (waiting on Trout)... the plants are growing fine. |
