I have seen a "Drum Filter" in a setup in Florida.

How does this work?

Also in a Dutch Aquaponics system what also appears to be a drum filter but I don't know how it works:

Can anyone please explain these types of filtration methods?

If anyone can give a clearer or more detailed explanation that would be much appreciated though.

Also why is the Florida one so small but the Dutch one so big yet both setups seem to be quite large operations?
