I have a new tank set up today with 1000 litres. When can I add my fish? Please help as they are going down hill in old tank. Water green and ammonia spike and ph up and nitrite
I cant understand it. The system has been running for months then the algea bloom has f&%%£& everything up
If i add fish to new tank and run through existing growbed will that water kill of my bacteria?
I have no idea what to do.
I am aerating the new water at 10000 lpm and have added prime and conditioner
My fish are swimming slowly near the surface. I have stopped feeding them
Please PM me or email at ozzyrod@hotmail.com

When the system has cycled... tha'ts the standard answer, but if your fish are suffering badly in another tank with ammonia etc, then maybe just transfer them now.

Why would this happen? As long as there is no chlorine/chloramine or other anti-bacterial products etc, then the bacteria should be fine.

Algae blooms happen when there is nutrients and sunlight getting to the water, thats why tanks must be shaded, and nutrients monitored/controlled.
