Hey I was thinking to buy a fish tank for a birthday for 7 years old boy . I don't have to much knowledge about that , not sure if its a good idea. What do you think guys?

good way to teach the boy some responsibility caring for his own pet. just make sure the tank is large enough for the fish you give him until adulthood at least 55 gallons for a goldfish or look at guppys or some other smaller fish if you want to give him a more reasonable sized tank. and dont forget to have some plants like java fern and anubias and pothos growing out of the tank to clean up the nitrates and reduce water changes.

Thank you for a message. 55 gallons enough in the beginning. I don't want to go to far. Im trying to teach him responsibilities. I hope he will manage :-)
