I was wondring if any of you are using a DC pump and solar panels on your AP setup? I have been talking to my wife about getting some ducks and doing duckponics. I just really like the idea of running solar or wind energy for all my outside projects.

I am, but its not really a system anyone would copy...well, its similar to a AP system running off a grid connected solar powered house I guess....

Im the Permaculturalist at a luxury eco resort (just won worlds best eco resort hehe), and we have a large solar array and small wind turbine to power one of our villas - I have just tapped my AP system into it.

It running 100% of wind and solar...

2700L of FT, 2100 GB, 1950 ST, 8000lph pump, large (20 hoses) air pump

Not yet, but I am running two 12 volt pumps off of a battery and charger. Will be adding solar panels soon.
