What does that have to do with anything? If you don't see the wrong in selling systems with exagerated claims (which hurts AP as a whole) and claiming yourself to be an expert in the field (with no evident track record), you never will.

Pictures! Where are some pictures of these systems growing fish and plants?

Btw I really want to monetize my qualification as a certified aquaponicist:

That little blurb says it all... and spells out exactly the concerns that I have with regard to this "business"...

It's not about aquaponics... it's about a "business" and marketing... and self promotion...

Gee I'm surprised this guy isn't proposing an "International Aquaponics Association"....

For example, you can make:

$3,700 profit for building a small, backyard 10′ x 20′ Portable Farms Aquaponics System (PFAS)
$1,900 profit for building a single-tray 4’x’8’ PatioPonics Portable Farm (PPPF

 ... I'm either using the wrong product.. or targeting the wrong market....

This is NOT a certification in "aquaponics"... no such thing exists... it IS a certification that you have attended a course in construction of Mr Davis's system(s)...

And, like a "free holiday" if you sit through a time share presentation.... a way to try and sell you a system... through a then aggressive sales pitch...IMO...

So... the BYAP courtyard system is $1985, and this link tells me there is $1900 profit in such a system.
So it is only fair for me to assume that the wholesale price of that system is $85!
Right... JOEL.... FAYE... I want some of my money back. You must have cleaned up out of me! :D

I'm going to do the course. Can't go past this:
"Having your own PPPF or PFAS Unit up-and-running automatically puts you in great demand as an authority on aquaponics"
I've been wasting my time learning stuff....

No way... think of how an "International Aquaponics Association" would give him credibility as aquaponics authority...

Yeah well the rest of the backyard hacks are using it for just that, so not much difference really.

Seriously. Does anyone believe its a University? A University by definition must be a institute of higher learning for teaching and research that is authorized to grant academic degrees in more then one discipline. Single subject institutes are commonly referred to as colleges. So how can it be a university of one subject? Who is it accredited through? IACBE, ACBSP or HLC? But then its only my opinion.
