...though we have concerns about theft of barra...

Reminds me of my school days....our side fence backed onto my primary school veggie patch....I knew which veggies were ready for harvesting each day...made sure no other neighbourhood kids got the opportunity to knick them too :angel4:

Darn... I wanna go back to skool

piddling myself

and later move to barramundie, though we have concerns about theft of barra etc.

Now there is a project for manual arts - pose the problem, give them the stats (sizes, positioning etc) and they have to come up with a design which is easy to construct and which is in line with health and safety criteria

Ok Big post today,

Tomorrow we start marking out the area in paint and final inspection of the ground. It is the intention that after this week, materials will start to get ordered and the building process with begin.

ITs been a long time in coming and there never seems to be the end to "finalising" plans etc. But there has to be a point that equipment is purchased, and its approaching rapidly.

Im going to post about 8 pictures. The first 4 show the ground as is. The next 4 show a google sketchup of our proposal for the area.

The Sketchup pictures... Basically these are 2 seperate systems so they can be compaired one with another. It would be good to take data on the tank out of the ground vs the ones in the ground. we dont want heaps of growbeds (sounds strange) but we want to prove the concept and you dont need to have heaps of plants to take data (But it helps). When its successful more money I dont think will be a problem. Obviously we are not intending to have full stocking density but we want Redclaw in one tank and Barramundi in the other. Comparison between species, nutrients, water quality, diet between 2 seperate systems, and you will see a nearby in ground garden that we can use as a control as well.

If the other greenhouse doesnt get used much in the future and our project takes off, maybe possible expansion space.

File comment: It is a full green house, so the cut away side is covered up... You will see that behind the growbeds there is a tank and 2 large wormfarms. These could be removed and 2 more growbeds can fit onto the system directly behind. It is actually 2 seperate syst

File comment: The 2 tanks in the ground are 1000 Ltr Plastic tanks. Each one will feed into a growbed. The system closest will have another tank that also has redclaw in the top tank.

File comment: Here you can see the Solar panel (12V) system and the water tank closeby. The tank may not go here, and there is a suggection to possibly site the greenhouse in another location, but the design is the same.

Mate, all I would add is some sort of work surface - a bench top of sorts - you could even build one in that folds up against the wall of the shade house :)

Tell me something - there is a fair bit of open floor space - is that done on purpose (floor space to allow for numerious students), is it simply unassigned space or is it reserved for my GB;s in the future?
