Hmm

I now believe the excess food build up that I've been reporting in various threads is actually fish waste. When the fish where small it looked exactly like saturated pellets. Now the fish a bigger, it is looking less like this.

I'm pretty confindent that this is the case, as I fed two days ago, then removed the solids, then checked again yesterday and the solids were back. This means my SLO is not generating enough suction I guess...will have to check it
Is not gummed up.

Dang nabit. Another escapee!

I'll have to put a more permanent lid and jump gaurd in this weekend.

I hope this is one of my smallest, otherwise the fish arnt growing fast enough me thinks.

So the take away lesson....getting the extra 50-150lts out of the IBC is not worth it! Leave about 10-15 cm between rim and water level.

I'd still leave 10cm between rim and water. Too much water gets splashed out at feed time otherwise.

Awesome!
I have only got broccoli and cauli seedlings. Probably a bit later in the season but I was slow in looking up winter crops.
I can only hope they turn out like yours :thumbright:

Some picks of cheery tomatoes...not sure if the ones on this side of the bed are just suffering from root rot or have some diseased.
