Not too surprising TBH. There is filter slime all over the walls of the IBC and it has all been running for about 6 weeks. Still good to be sure :)

All plants are going great guns. Spring onion has had about 6" of growth. That stuff is mental. Took 6 weeks to see that growth in a pot. Capsicum has been going crazy too. Leaves look like leather. Am going to have to google how to maintain it i think :)

Good Friday is the only day that we are closed, how unlucky can you be.
Hey I see from one of the labels that is in there (Brahmi) you can't claim that you don't remember what you planted hehehe!

If you get what I mean :)

With the Braaaaahhhhmmmmm... Whats it called again? This is the first time it has grown well enough to harvest it since a rather severe caterpillar attack. I really hope it works because my memory is horrendous! :support:

Another update. I finally got some time to put some shade cloth around the tank to kill off the algae growing on the walls. Interestingly enough, i never got a pea soup, only growth on the walls. Still, better to be safe than sorry.

Image

I ripped out the parsley that was doing nothing but going mushy and yellow and added a few more winter vegies.

I chucked in some leeks and some carrot seeds in the empty spot below the spring onion.

Image

I also added some sugar snap peas and trimmed back the unruly basil to start it again.

Image

The capsicum is starting to ripen up and the beans are coming on just below it.

Image

I also added some gutterguard as a climbing support for this unknown creeper. I thought it was a cucumber, but now i think it is a mellon. I have a bunch of these growing a pot as well and it is definately a round mellonish looking fruit. Which the gutterguard wont hold up :(

Image

Chillies are coming along too. A crappy photo because it was awkward to take, but over 50mm long now i think. I also had some Trinidad Morouga Scorpion Chilli and some Trinidad Scorpion Butch T Chilli seeds arrive today. That is going to be interesting

Image

A final shot of all the plants.

Image

I am hoping to organise some trout this week but i am still nervous about the weather. It is definitely cooling off, but if we dont get a cool night the temps can bump to 23.5-24degC. The next week is looking cooler so i might try my luck. Worst comes to worst i can sit it out with gambrusia until it is barra season :D

The reason i had to get more was because the yabbies have been chowing down on them. They will be getting close to their last supper too once i get some bigger fish. Mmmmmm yabbie :headbang:

Thanks :)

Thats why i was asking so many questions about your system a few months back :P

Currently the only fish i have are the ones pictured above as well as more of that sort. That picture was todays fishing adventure. Not bad for half an hour :D I also have yabbies in there. 10 - 15 maybe.

I plan on getting some rainbows when i can find a supplier nearby who has them in stock. The yabbies will come out then and i will leave those little fish as food

I got one of those wave maker pumps i think they are. I hung it in the water by the cord and it flicks around the place. Cleaned the bottom up real nice! :thumbright:

Will post pics up later tonight.

Hi Ryan. With regard to your capsicum, yep give it a trim. A good 30cm and tip prune at the same time. It should bush up. Am envious of the size of your cappies, ours are tiny in comparison.
Good luck with the trout. We're still waiting for our translocation permit :upset:
