:D

I got everything move by 6 o'clock and laid out the first rafter/leg section to get some measurements. I'm going to cut the first 2 x 6 and then use it as a template for the other 19.
It took my 78 trips back and forth to move it all... Hands are sore but I'll bet I have one of the firmest handshakes around when I finish this build!

Wow that grass in the surrounding area really came back strong. Im sure it isnt an issue but will you look at doing anything to control it in the future or will you just mow it as part of your weekly duties.

Looking great Ryan. Id love to come see it in real life one day.

Yeah it did. I don't have a tractor right now so I'm letting it stay to hold the soil in place (our rainy season right now). The plan is to cover the rest of the area with heavy duty weed cloth and grow other terrestrial veggies and fruits in the area until I build more greenhouses. Its on the list but I have a few other things in front of it. And you are more than welcome to a private tour if you ever find yourself in my neck of the woods :)

Here are some recent pics ...

I have all of the angles cut on the rafters and have begun to build the fish barn:

I love the smell of fresh cut lumber. Can almost smell it.
Dude, I so wish I could help you do the work.
Keep posting. At least I can watch from a distance.

Looking good. I see you bought yourself a tall stepladder.

From someone who knows - I suggest to paint the sides of your fiberglass ladders with something to keep the fiberglass from deteriorating. Even a clear coat will help.
I carried a couple of those large ladders for years on top of my service van. The sun deteriorates the coating and it'll start shedding tiny bits of nasties, mostly caught in my arms and hands.

Hopefully you keep them inside and out of the weather.

You got it Charlie. Ill have tanks (8) going down the walls with the filtration located in the middle and walkways between the tanks and filters. Should be enough space to feel comfortable but not so big that heating/cooling is going to kill me. I'm planning on making some major headway this weekend so I'll post updated pictures after.

And yeah bill, I keep it in the GH now but plan on keeping it in the fish barn after. I hate fiberglass.

Well, it's been a crazy couple of weeks...

I have officially been promoted to manage Green Sky growers, our rooftop aquaponic greenhouse as well as all of the companies aquaponic and hydroponic operations. I'll be putting in long hours for a while and traveling a bit more but I'm still moving full steam ahead on my personal farm.

I finished the rafters and plan to start laying the wood for the roof that will link everything together and give me structure to screw the metal roofing to.

Here are a few pictures:

The rooftop this afternoon right before a bad storm:

What the roof will look like:

Lots of rain lately but unless the lightning is within 5 miles I keep at it...hard enough to find time in the first place!

Rafters and ground posts done!

Don't let anyone tell you that gourds don't like a raft system... This 1 plant is about 30'-35' long and very wide
