I think that plants in mature aquaponic systems will thrive even in winter because of the constant nutrient conditions and bacteria flora..I suppose its like healthy fit people who can resist cold temperatures and disease..

That was 11 weeks until harvest, not bad eh! Trout Almondine with cos lettuce, mizuna, spring onions, parsley and dill. All AQUAPONICALLY grown.
