Mason work completed and plumbing works began today... next few days are very busy and very crucial in meeting the deadline of Jan 25th...

I get hardly 30 minutes internet time per day.. so, please share your feedback and I would surely try to comment back asap :)

Hi vkn,

Im happy for you to link to facebook but I would prefer you also add the images to the forum so not to direct traffic away from the forum. This is a members system category and needs to be updated this way please.

cheers

Thanks for your advice, Charlie. I thought about it too but then I would overload BYAP server with tonnes of picture updates... Allow me this way please...

I shall definitely keep sharing relevant picture updates, I always do that... Have you noticed?

Hi Joel, I had failed miserably in 2 different attempts using the Styrofoam floating rafts.. mostly because I didn't get high quality/density styrofoam stuff... the importers cheated me and I lost my money.. All Aquaponics products are coming from China... there are some good stuff and then there are plenty of bad stuff too... :(

This option, we found it quite easy and workable... affordable... the wood substitute platform rests on the side walls... product warranty is for 15 years... water flow levels would be regulated keeping sufficient air gaps for root aeration... that would be a plumbing challenge tomorrow... We all hope this would work... :dontknow:

Please do watch the picture updates and keep your comments/feedback coming... Thanks for your interest... and I welcome and appreciate all your inputs.

Hi Again
Take a look at these pics http://www.aquaponics-shop.com/grow-bed ... allery/44/
the growbeds are designed with a center suport to prevent the plantboard from sagging when you want a airgap beetwen the plant board and the watersurface

cheers

Thanks so much, SolTun... Nice one they have...

We were thinking of laying thin aluminium rails over the walls for support. These multi-wood boards are of 8x4 feet.. they are strong but sags towards the center.. so planned 2 rails each.. It is coming in a few hours.. I will update...

Nanniode Aquaponics I would be very careful using any "wood substitute" because that type of board is usually made using some very toxic glues, and any leaching would not be good for your fish.
