Trout in the wild get up to 90% of their food underwater and only about 10% from the water surface. We fishermen just like to use floating flies because it looks cool to see a trout grab them of the surface.

Trout will eat yabbies, small fish and the larval stages of many aquatic insect (mayfly, dragonfly etc). They will also eat insect like beetles, grasshoppers etc that fall in the water as well as mice, lizards and small birds :o As OBO says just about anything, no wonder they grow so damn fast

Funny thing is, they just answer 'yes please' - they love swimming

I am well aware of previous AP history regarding kids and fish tanks :(

I hear Jaymie loves swimming in the fish tank and I remember seeing a picture of Steve with flippers, mask and snorkel.

Scott, did you try to go see them at nite, with a torch, that’s how I take pics of my SPs.
During the day they run for cover as I approach.

Gilly,
I'd like too see my fish too.
Only see them at feeding time and it's almost impossible to get a good photo.
You will have to drop around some time and see them for yourself.

Maybe should have checked first on what page I were and quote instead of “quick” one

Also using those trays but have cut them into pieces, found that big tray too space wasteful
if wanted to plant only few seeds.

 I'm shocked. I didn't think that guy in the photo with the snorkel would be strong enough to pick up a kid :blackeye:
