Well where do we start????? I guess it is thanks to Joel for giving me the idea(plant the seed) when we were livin in Rockhampton back in 2004-05....yes its taken some time to start, better now then in another ten years time.....

Quick Summary of Situation Ok, we, My beautiful wife(Annmarie), 4 kids + 1 more in late Nov 08 and myself have moved back to Annmarie's Family farm located in Deepwater, QLD just below 1770 and Agnes Waters (30min 4wd track).... The 160 acres has somewhere near the 20 acres in small crops, Zuchinnis etc.... We have around 25 beehives (beautiful PURE Honey) 16 head of Cattle, 4 Pigs, 20 chooks( 1-2dozen eggs a day), and 4 Families to support 3 living on farm. Nana & Grandad, Kelvin & wife +3kids, and our family, + older brothers family living in town 2+3kids.... So I will need to come up with a good system to help...

I might have gone overboard maybe so here is what I have so far....

2 x 5000 ltr Aquaponic Tanks - for fish (looking at Polyculture style, Jade Perch, Bottom Feeders etc)
1 x 2500 ltr Aquaponic Tank - for sump ( and possibly
1 x 1000 ltr Aquaponic Tank - for header
6 x GB's 3m x 1.2m x .35 Fiberglass (Ground Sitters) = 6 x 1200ltr GB's =7200 ltr
6 x GB's 2.8 x .8 x .25 Poly(Has 1640ltr watertank stand)= 6 x 560ltr GB's =3360 ltr total 10500 ltrs of GB's
3 x Pallets of Canna Clay Pebbles
4 x pumps 1 x New 413 davey 400w, 2 x old pool pumps, 1 x onga greywater sump pump Backup

Will put piccies up soon...
Gotta go have to drive the Double Decker tomorrow

.... was the destination for our annual Tennant Creek (NT) Boardriders point score....

What a trip... bus load of desert living, surf starved surfies who hadn't seen saltwater for about 12 months....

Some of them still didn't, even though we were there for 4 days....

Welcome DDecker! It seems to me that larger systems are easier to get going and be successful, so looks like you are off to a good start.

but wait there's more...

The grow bed / Tanks are $950.00 + freight they are external 2.9x.9x.9, hold roughly 1650ltrs of tank water etc.... when empty I can move them around by myslf easily on a $30 trolley(Light, but won't tip over even if only top growbed is full of water/stuff....2 grown men swinging on it heavy will slightly lift it 1"...

I Think its a great price considering it has the
GB, support, and can hold over 1600ltrs... tell us what you think....

heres a shot of both the started system and the DDecker....

One interesting point I learnt of the Father-In-Law (Farmer/Plumber) is that you can join any combination of POLY to PVC storm/Dwv and PRESSURE PIPE if needed....

Hi guys and gals dont know if anyone is interested but I thought i'd check for myself...
I put the temp probe outside under shade 36deg, just under the clay surface 30deg, at bottom of clay 24deg..
By the sounds of that it would make a nice house.. :P can't wait to get all up and running to run a few more test
