Hi, :wave1:

Please let me introduce my self (again?), I haven't read, or posted here for 4-5 years.. and the following tread will show why..

First the short background:
I am building a system that is a integrated part of my newbuildt house, and its getting close to finnished.. (that was the 5 years that passed, with no or little excess time)

I am in the south east of Norway, innland so no help from the gulf stream effect that makes mild winters).
The winters are like winters are supposed to be, crispy nice cold (usual -5 down to-20C)

The goal? To create a Meditarian vinterclimate at +5C at the coldest period. Keeping some herbs alive for a extended session, and perhaps some salads year round.

I will also have some exotic trees like Lime, and oranges that will stay there in the winter, and move them outdoors when summer comes, swapping place with tomatos etc.

Fish: Goldfish and Koi to begin with, then maybe some native edible species for food later on.

And this I hope to achive using a minimum of electricity....

I am now in the process to finnish the tile floor in the wintergarden, and since pipes and sump will be under it, I need in the weeks to come,- to fully understand how to make a more advanced system with a sump.

My tests have been simple systems using: pump: siphon and the growbed on top..

The wintergarden. 4 x 4 meters.

Fishpond:2x1x1 meters. 1070 liters.

Glasswalls: Duoble thermo windows, Some are E-type /with thin heatreflektive coating) and some are not..

Using regulary glass was a mistake I see now.. The ones without the coating have condensation, while the E-type is dry and nice..

Roof: 3 channel Polycarbonate plates.

Structure: Copper treated wood. with paint. (have to make sure no water drips from wood into the water system due to the copper-salt treatment)

Todays temperature: -4C.
Using 1000W !! IR radiator to prevent freecing while I wait for the other heating systems to be finnished.
