No I don't have much on the weather station or cameras. And none of it is up and working at the moment with the move and all. I can say I'm pretty miffed with Oregon Scientific because I bought that weather station based on their web site telling me I could use up to 10 of those floating thermometers with it. Well they lied the truth is you can only use two of them! Well I suppose you could use three but then you couldn't use the temperature/humidity sensor that goes with the weather station. But then those wireless floating thermometers quit working right (I guess moisture gets in them and you have to pull them out and take them apart for several weeks to dry out before they will work again.)

I think eventually I'll have to make some wired sensors that hook to say picaxe chips and feed data to an old computer or something. But that will be when I have some free time someday again.

Rain, none today. Was raining a lot for several days, I think I managed to collect about 2000 gallons of rain water which is pretty good seeing as I don't have the gutters hooked up yet so I've been pumping out of extra fish tanks and buckets up into the storage tanks. My new farm is high and dry so all the extra rain has been a good thing here.

FYI, all fish were removed from the old Big system a few days ago. Well there might be a couple bluegill in the water plant bed. Fish tank was removed from the system a couple days ago. Now it just has some plants and beds and towers until I can move all that.

Say By by.

Buh Bye big system...buh bye nosey, whiney (is that a word), tattle-tale neighbors...

Thanks for all of your trials, tribulations, successes, failures, face palms and posting them all for us to learn from, live vicariously through (until we could get our own systems up), laugh with and shed a tear for...

Looking forward to the future.
Thanks TC n Cook
Brian

The Big system has been dismantled. There are a few bits of it left over at the old house that we will be moving today. Took two trips yesterday to get what we got. All that is left is the shelf with the aloe, the sump tank, and the piles of blocks and wood supports from the barrels and water chestnut bins.

As I was draining the water plant bed, I found two bluegill which I expected. Then there were 4 small fish I didn't expect and didn't recognize Two of them wound up in the 300 gallon system with the bluegill. The other two I decided to put in the sump tank (hopefully they survive) with plans of bringing a bucket and aerator to bring them to the farm today so maybe I can stick them in an aquarium and try to identify them.

They are about 3 inches long and more long/thick bodied rather than flat pan fish shape.
I'm guessing they must have gotten in there in some pond plants but that seems unlikely since I kept the pond plants in a separate pool for 4 months before moving them to that bed so I would have thought I would have noticed stow away fish in that change over.

Then again, maybe these are the survivors of the minnows I got like 2 years ago that I thought they all died.

A house just looks so bare without it's aquaponics system.
