Am thinking of introducing Azolla to a freshwater soak as feed for Silver Perch? There is no chance of contamination of water ways as downstream is all extremely saline. But I do not want the Azolla to take over if Silver Perch don't eat it. Maybe high stocking rates of silvers does the trick? Many thanks for comments.

They may nibble the roots a bit... but they're not really that fussed about the stuff...

Now duckweed... that's another story... gourmet delight.. as far as Perch are concerned... :wink:

Yeah, nibble at the roots and that's about it. I assume it's the furry texture of the leaves, but don't really know. They're happy to demolish duckweed, spinach and other green leafies that don't have that furry texture.

Jades are a lot more "vegetarian" than Silver Perch.... :wink:
