Thank you Jay. I am showing this thread to the Rio Gallinas Charter School staff as a teaser for what to expect for their new AP system. Thank you so much for asking questions while posting. There are many similarities between these systems as well as our experience levels, this will be my 3rd as well.
Brian

Hey Jay, that soil looks like it's as much fun digging as the soil here! Similar colour too. Clay?

Hey there' it's actually been easy so far as it's the top of an old rubbish tip that the lady buried random stuff who used to.live here - about 600 down it gets to the original layer.
I have a drill and spade now so I'll try that.
Where the previous greenhouse was is harder as we tamped down the soil and added a dry mix of cement (crusty layer)

I've calculated I'm going to have approx 2400 ltrs of water storage at full capacity in the sump. 1.4 x 6.7 x .3
I'll bend the liner back like this
And pretty much finished the hole, maybe a little more off the sides and 100mm of the bottom, but I'm aiming for 3.05m width EDPM 1mm clearpond Firestone liner and about 7.5m long

;)
Dug 300mm more so as to not waste the 3m wide pond liner I bought.
Using some old trampoline as a liner and some packing sand in the bottom Image

Hey boss
It's the sump tank but I'm going to add a couple of gold fish orfish that eat mozzie larvae - I'm going to try DWC will that work?

Jayendra with enough water splashing and return disturbances you shouldn’t get problems with Mossies, they don’t like that kind of environment and me personally I don’t like fish in the sump, I have had Tilapia before and they bred, they pooed that got macerated in the pump and sent around the system etc etc So this time no fish and no mossies

Have you seen the size of the sump?
I'll probably have 2x 90mm returns running in at the door end and the pump at the other end. When, and if I run DWC I'll put some air stones in there as well.
I thought it might be nice to have a couple Goldie's to keep slime down also as the middle part will be exposed to light at times when the tank is open
