Hey guys! I live in the Riverland in SA, and heard about AP through a friend at work at the end of September. I've been flat out researching since, and are currently building 2 systems :)

Here's the fish pond i'm using. It holds about 6,500,000 litres. How many fish do you reckon i'll get in there? :)

The pumps do about 225 litres/second :)

Obviously thats not it  Thats the vineyard I work on :)

I am building 2 systems, one at my parents, and one at my place. We were given 2 stainless milk tanks a couple of years ago, and they've been sitting around doing nothing - until now :) The bigger one is buried at dads, and the smaller one at my place. I got some second hand 1000lt fert tanks for free, and blue drums from work, and am using them as grow beds, and as a sump. Pics will explain more :)

Bloody connection keeps dying on me! Grrr!

Dads system will halt while I get mine up and running - i'm hoping by this weekend

I live on the vineyard, so will be using water straight from the Mighty Murray River (not so mighty at the moment :( ) I had to get the fish tank going as i'm getting feral goldfish from the river / creeks from some native fish researchers on site :)

I had to get a mate to weld up a crack in the drain on that tank. He said it's a common problem with the stainless tanks as they expand and contract a lot.

I wait with interest...just make sure that you protect the IBC's from UV rays - paint or somesuch on the outside.

I'm using the tops of the 1000lt tanks - 2 for grow beds (you can see one on the right), and 1 as the sump - about 400lts. You can see the sump just behind big johnny, he's about 8ft :) I think I will paint them to stop them breaking down.

I washed a ute load of gravel last weekend - 580kpa pressure from the vineyard pumps and a tub liner in the ute made it quite easy  :D

Wow, snakes!
You have got plenty of hardware there for a great system.
Look forward to see how it is all going to fit together.

neither can I!!! I have a 3600lt/hr pump to supply a few, or all? of the beds - haven't really worked it out, and a 6000lt/hr sump pump with float switch. I have my heart set on murray cod, and have ordered some - available in Dec/Jan.

It will be flood / drain with standpipes :) Will add pics of the connections in the next few days! Am tired now and have to be up at 6!

Forgot to say, this is a fantastic site, and I would never have been able to gather this much information in such a short time without it. Thanks to everyone here!!! AP ROCKS!
