1) What are my suggested pump times like?
Fine.

2) Will the GB's empty as fast as water is pumping in?
As long as the pipework is the right size.

3) Is this a disaster waiting to happen?
Isn't all AP?

4) Where is "OBO" ?

There was also talk about putting something on the bottom of the tank to allow mussels to dig themselves in - did we ever get any definiative results? Can they dig into blue metal?

Gemmell they dont dig into blue metal, but they live happily on the mesh in Marron Tank and also on blue metal in Bathtub, I also have 4 in a small aquarium inside and they live happily on top of aquarium gravel and have only ever seen one dig in for a few days, the aquarium ones seem to move around a fair bit cleaning as they go, but may try some river sand in spots as well

I was pretty sure it was an emu egg ;-)
Could have been sneaky and used an odd shaped avocado I guess.
You keep emu's? You say it's orphaned, does that mean it's still viable?
Did you eat Mum and Dad?

Cool gifts!
We're thinking about getting some live ones, once the fire damage has been cleaned up that is.

You had better pick up those nice blue tanks down at Charlies, Nocky. I didn't have my trailer on so they are still there!!

I'd say, too many stubbies, not enough work.

Time is ticking by Nocky, how is the setup progressing?

We need more photos. (And you had better not drink any Two Dogs and leave the evidence there, heck we live in WA you know, not Vic. oops! Our northern hemi friends won't know what to think.)

Rick I have Pygmy Perch around 65mm and they live in the wild with marron, but if your on about edible fish any fish that is vegetarian as they wont eat the Marron as for Marron eating the fish I haven't experienced a problem, Marron are small eaters and seem happy with a pellet each every fortnight, Yabbies they will eat anything and everything, Piranhas, Don B had a barra living with yabbies and now he has a fat Barra, but let us know where your going with the question rick and will give you the info I have
