Have tanks in postiton and next to tanks is a raised area for grow beds which is now level and has sleepers on top for GB's to sit, (Camera S*** it self so back to Nocky Scetch, see 1st post), also nice load of 7mm blue metal, on target for water this weekend, in 1 tank will put around 30 X 5" plastic pots and cover with blue metal for hides for the marron, the bungs at the bottom of tank angle slightly down, so may be a drama trying to get pvc pipe to join tanks, this will be the only hold up

Digging and Leveling (no big toys this time :( ) finished, sleepers are to put the GB's on so when the rest of family get out of bed will get back into it, hope to have some of the Blue Metal in GB's as well, but all should be cycling by Easter.
:drunken: Doing it a bit tough this morning, 8 stubbies, 4 x 440ml cans of Bourbon and half a bottle of Bin 555 doesn't = progress with your AP system :|
A couple of progress pics and maybe more later :drunken:

Well 1 GB in place and sign at back says backyardaquaponics.com, will have to make it darker and under is Visitors to sign, so I better get some, AP in Narrogin is taking off with 6 systems I know of but only 3 forum members, we will work on that though, but it is hard day to get motivated, why do I feel so dry, when I drank so much last night :?

Well been busy this weekend, filled 2nd GB, hand mixed 8 barrows of concrete for edges of shed, finished all the plumbing and just need to add water, but guess who forgot to buy a timer :?: :upset: More the point guess who forgot to remind me to buy a timer :crazy3:
Being Narrogin, nothing at all open until Tuesday.
Just need to cover the Marron hides with Blue Metal, but temp is up to 32 and motivation has just gone below 5 8)
How does it look so Far?

Looking good. Are you going to smear some silicone over the brass while the tanks are empty.

Brass does corrode with Flexy N Nocky, so precautions with Nitrates and Nitrites may be necessary??

I have a pin type timer out here with 14 pins, ie 7 on 7 off if you want to borrow. Would you be ready for trout (if you want them) in a week or two? OBO can only fit in 50 for me so I will pick up another 50 a bit later. Minimize HSM.

Go Nocky...... When they are filled with water they're much nicer to stand at with beer in hand.... :)

Be careful not to put too much stress on the bung holes when joining them together, I've broken one once before where the thread is welded into the tank.

Have done Duff
 EB the joining stresses me a bit, do you mean by tightening? as have them tight now and didn't over do, I have some heavy duty flexible hose joining them and tanks are 13" apart will that be ok?
Rick I have a couple of those timers Thanks, I think I will leave filling until tuesday anyhow, I will get an electronic timer then.
Hard to say if I will be ready for trout in a week or 2, I was thinking maybe a month, will drain other tank in 2 weeks and transport whatever is in that tank to the new, hopefully find a lot of baby mussels 8) OBO was here Friday and he has 4 barrels for fish, and is picking up 400 as far as I know, so more ice rick, I only have about half a bag so can't help
