Gregg from Mid Pac High School that I emailed?

You were a difficult man to track down :)

I'd love to hear more about the system where I'm told you flood every few hours. I understand its very low energy.

Do you have a system thread?

Bull, I pmed you.

To sum it up, we use pumps on timers with slow drains. Reduces electrical costs 50-75% with no difference in growth.

Our timers run 30 minutes ON and then 1 hr. OFF. Then at night between 10pm and 5am the pumps are off.

We like this way better than siphons. It allows for more control of the water cycles and we can adjust depending of fish densities. We can also adjust to plant types if some plants rather have less or more water. Plus siphons are a pain sometimes.

My fish have settled down, but I find myself trying to learn maths from scratch in an afternoon.

It didn't work.

Today I worked out a dozen or so questions.

By tomorrow night I have to watch around 6 hours of video, and answer around 30 questions that each take around 50 minutes.

So far the only maths I feel confident about is...

Angry fish = omega 3 fatty acid = brain food

Today I ate prawns, scallops, two whiting, a mullet, and a tin of kippers.

I have run out of non-fresh brain food :)

In the next 23 hours and 53 minutes I have around 2 weeks of work to do.

Hands up who wishes they were my fishes.

All of those went in at various stages of decay as seedlings. They were left over from the NFT tubes and sat for a few days without water. So I cant really say how old they are.

And as for when that happened. I also have no idea :) I just went through my system thread, and dont seem to have mentioned the fact that I have a brand spanking new system :)

Good except for the fact that I don't seem to be doing my electronics course, and that I haven't come up with an original idea for as long as I can remember.

I think the last thing I promised was to invent a better solids removal system of all things.

No, I don't know what I was thinking :)

And something about a demand fish feeder :)

I really have to make that thing work. I still have no idea what my circuit board does so far. I've spent 20 hours now I would guess, just looking at it.

Totally meaningless.

There are these web sites where you get software made offshore. You put up an offer like "I want to create a simple web/database interface, but I want to do it pascal 1.0 and all in Esperanto" and someone says "I'll do it for $1.23"

I've been tempted to offer someone $11.20 (all I'm worth) to answer the question "What does this do, and what's wrong with it" and just mail them the board and the code I wrote when I was on the morphine patches, and see what comes of it :)

Curiouser and curiouser.

On the up side I discovered a new paranoia.

Maths is trying to get me.

Even the TED talks thread is after me :)

Brothers,

Sisters,

Comrades

I love the smell of Promite in the morning.

That smell.

That yeasty smell.

It smells like....

Breakfast.

I have a dream.

I believe this person should make a solids extractor.

I should make it work, and be reliable, and return fish poo safely to a worm farm.

And before this decade is out, do all this, and do it right.

And do it first.

I'll need imagination, a pile of junk, and a lever big enough to move the world.

I know what I think, and I know what I see. I dont know what I hear, coz I got that bee living in my ear.

But I know what I see.

I think I suffer from high self esteem.

Some people play hard to get, I play hard to please.

I've had a perfectly wonderful evening, but this wasn't it.

Ladybird camouflage sucks.

That last one was mine :)
