Are you human?: when in a good mood

Welcome to the forum Tommy. I'm in So. Cal. and I raise tilapia and channel catfish. I buy my catfish fingerlings fromJ and J Aquafarmsin Sanger, CA. I have them shipped. It's only about $50 for shipping and beats driving and transporting live fish. With J and J I had about a 20% survival rate the first go, so he sent me another batch free. They were about 90% survival. He has bluegill and many other varieties.

For tilapia I buy from Whitebrook Farms, again I have them shipped. Survival rate the first time was 98%. My most recent order was 100% survival. They have GREAT quality fish here. In my opinion worth every penny.

Be sure your system is well cycled before adding fish. Keep adding ammonia right up to the day before you add fish. I do recommend salting to 1ppt as you will likely see a nitrite spike after adding fish. The chloride will protect them from nitrite poisoning.

Good luck!
