Hi All. You may remember that I had all manner of fish diseases over about a year until I worked out that heavy metals were degraded the immune system of my fish. Whilst posting to another thread I realised I have a lot of photos of sick fish. So here they are, with my (mis) diagnosis:

I dunno, probably just flexi bacter though it could be "Dropsy" - I definitely had it at some stage, but I didn't get a photo of the lump...

I'm cross posting here my aeromonas bacteria.

Anyone had a fish (tilapia in the case) swimming in tight, slow circles on the bottom of the tank....and when he died and floated up, was locked in a curved position (the same body position that he had whilst circling) in a kind of rigor mortis state?

Their trout right Gemmel? have not seen ich on any of my trout however I reckon its what killed my SP in the same system (diff tank)

Its only affecting my 2 gold fish, the silvers and yabbies in the same tank have no issues?

Hi guys,.
was going to post separately, but this seems to be a very appropriate thread. My trout have been dying about one a day for the last month or so. I've bumped up the air, added filters..

Im wondering whether its metal poisoning. I have them in a galvanised tank, which has a polymer coating on the inside. The polymer coating has ended up a strange coloured ring (yellow/orange). Also, there are steel struts in the middle which act as a support for the tank. Im wondering whether some of this metal is causing poisoning.. any thoughts?

Get your water tested! I mob called EcoWise Environmental did it for me here. I found out I had elevated levels of nickel.

They don't have an office in adelaide, but there's a govt place that seems to do something similar.. Interested to see the price differences around the country for that sort of thing..
