I've had two SP deaths reducing my stock to 13 for 300L of filtration so am hoping to introduce 2 barra to the system now that we are seeing the hot weather in Perth. Do SP and barra live well together and if so... where can I get some to chuck in with my 70g SP

Your Barra will out grow your Silvers... and if they get to a point where they think the Silvers will fit in their mouths... will eat them...

I wouldn't be adding to the fish load that you have in that system Jackfrost. Do you know what the water temp is, perhaps it got too hot for silver perch being in a black tank if they are in full sun. I am going by the link to your system and would plan to keepit simple and not mix the fish at this stage, perhaps for you next system where they have more space ::)) Hope this helps.

My big tank hit 32C yesterday and the silvers were jumping out of the water like trout to hit the floating skrettings. Hope it doesnt get any warmer than that though.
