Just my opinion.... I have to agree with Dave Donley, I try to add in as much additional feed as possible. I use the Black soldier fly larva, and some of the scrap vegetable matter from the grow beds. There is also a "Bug zapper" over the fish tank that donates a bit of protein to the mix. My tilapia will eat just about everything!
Trying things out, that's a big part of the fun for me. Making a system that does everything that I need it to, without spending a lot of cash. Good luck and have fun!

Dave, by any chance you can share the location of your near by Zeigler Bros as it is reasonably close to me and looking for cost effective (not junk) food for my Tilapia.
