I have a six week old system going and the nitrates have started to show up nicely and therefore my plants that have managed to stay alive for the last six weeks are beginning to show signs of life. The problem I am faced with is that I can't seem to get the PH down to a level that the plants like. It still wants to stay up aroun 8 or 8.2 . I have added liquid kelp to help with the lack of nutrients to this point and hoped it would bring down the ph. But it continues to be too high. The water that I am adding for evaporation is at 6.9 PH.
any other suggestions....
