When I said co gen.. I was talking of them using gas to run a set of gas generator's.. The building only needs about 5mw to run the complete building..
they had at the time I was there 5 street feeds of about 1Mw each.. 3 to the lower Floor's.. Basement to lvl 24 and then 2 feeds for 25 - 58..

I was very interesting..

So the only issue with the co-gen plant is where to locate the generator's..

About the only way for a co-gen plant to break even is if you have some use for the heat given off. If you don't have any use for the heat a co-gen will never pay for itself.

Original poster: Don't let people get you down! Have ideas and try them. I agree that it won't work, but prove it to yourself... maybe don't spend your life savings on the project. Thinking outside of the box is how innovation happens and it takes 999 failed ideas to get 1 that really does some good. Do it and post back.

It seems to me they best way to get closest to a free lunch is reduce energy lost and increase the efficiency of energy absorbtion. The sun gives us a little (solar, water flow from evaporation). We need to learn how to do everything we want from that.

 What happens when the cat licks all the butter off? It doesn't sound sustainable to me...

A simple cone shaped plastic collar should prevent the cat from removing the butter off the toast.

If the power of wormholes through space could be harnessed this could be used. Image

one downside would be people attaching the toast butter side down to the cats feet thereby creating a weapon worse then any seen on the face of there earth so far.

If you use small cats/kittens and half slices of toast dropped with laser guided precision it should cut down on collateral damage while looking cuter.

A good defense against such weapon might be paper bags strung up high so as the cats are dropped the cap will see the paper bag, become intrigued then jump from the toast mid flight and then the weapon would be disarmed.

Are you human?: hmm, fishy question
Location: alstonville, nsw, aust.
I believe the cat would have to be fitted with a governor, cos as the cat spooled up centrifugal force would repell the butter, causing a cataclysmatic event. That is the origin of that word for those who were wondering !!! :geek:

A Catapault would be directional.. and overcome the centrifugal forces.. and should allow the butter to remain in place...

Subsequent melting by the laser beam would result in reduced air resistance as well...

This thread really got me thinking.
I don't see why we need to go to the expense of water wheels and car alternators.
The solution is simple and available at all good hardware stores.
I knocked this one up in about 5 minutes.

Cats will always chase laser pointers = laser guided missile.
I wonder if the neighbor will miss their cat ..... It only has one eye, will that affect anything ?
