Looking sw.an.ky Rupert, good job, honest mistake your son made with the door :funny1:

Tell me how come you're using that cloth to cover your greenhouse and not glass or poly carbonate or plastic?

Just need a calm day... with no bloody rain.... and the cover and end panels will go on...

Then the shed can be erected...

I'm sure the greenhouse will get plastic but the sides will probably be roll up so the shade cloth is there to act as a screen yet allow ventilation when it is hot.

Actually in many climates a shade house is more common for some types of growing, like in my climate, the "greenhouse" is only desirable for about 2 or 3 months in winter and the rest of the year I would prefer a shade house.

Rupe, here is a wish that you get your calm day on a day you are there and prepared to put the film on.

Thanks TCL...

And yes Abdul... the shade cloth is there to shade the plants, and act as an insect barrier... when the side curtains are rolled up during summer... to provide ventilation and crossflow of air...

The roof cover gets "locked" into the top strip in the last two photos... and the side curtain "locks" into the bottom strip...

It's been a frustrasting week of annoying constant wind... but today was forecast as "light to moderate through the morning.... moderating to light and variable through the afternoon and into Sunday"...

Bit the bullet and made the decision to pull the cover... there was supposed to be the roof cover... and seperate end panels... But in fact it was a single 24mtr piece....

It's never as easy as they make it sound is it?

Good Job though. Have you learned any tricks to make it go easier the next time?

Yep... buy a kit from someone that hasn't worked for Ikea....

That way the manual might be written in English, rather than Swedish... all the pages will be there.... and ALL the bits... :D

Nice one.... :)

It is a bugger doing the plastic, I know that when Carl was going his greenhouse we had to wait quite a while for the perfect day. Hot enough that the plastic has expanded, low wind, multiple hands ready.....
