Those Sea Bass are a good looking fish, too. As far as I know we don't have them in our waters down here in Oz, although our Barramundi is referred to as Asian Sea Bass but is very different.





Thanks PLJ!! Believe it or not that was only 3rd place! I got first place later that season with a 5.7 lb er..

One day I'll make it down to OZ.. Would love to fish down there..!!!!!

I hit a local lake on Sunday. Water temps are still in the low 40's (F) still did pretty good throwing #5 and 7 rapalas floaters into the shallow mudflats. Mostly small lm bass a few bluegill and 1 big black crappie r

Yes, its really nice there. Its about an hour south from us, Ballina would be our closest coastal town but we are inland a bit above Lismore. We have family in Iluka and we heard the blues were on so we did a day trip. The weather was beautiful and surprisingly there were minimal boats on the water, I suppose most were heading home on the monday after the easter weekend. Hoping to catch some muddies next weekend.
