Hunting bull frogs with a BB gun is great. They just fall over dead, much easier than trying to grab them. Man and they taste great.

Heck yes, you don't know what you are missing. The best way I like them is fried. Some of them have back legs that are 8-9 inches long. Just cut the back legs off, batter them up and fry them.

I would break little "reeds" of some sort off that grew around my pond. Put them down the barrel of my air rifle and shoot frogs with them.
:naughty:
I know.....

I watched a program on tv a while back about catching frogs as a full time job. One of those hillbilly, redneck shows. These guys would head out in the swamps at night and catch frogs all night. They's reckin, good money in it too y'all.

There is one with swamp rats too. If I live in the biyu I would be hunting them too occasionally.

There were people living on what we call Australia long before the English ever stumbled across the land down under. And even though I've never heard the term before I just bet "abo" is a derogatory term for them. I don't even understand how someone defending toads could be on an AP site. Do the fish not deserve to live in a lake or river as opposed to a fish tank? Is that ok because you're into it, so that makes it different?

Oh btw we have a thing called a frog gig here in the US. It's like a small three pronged spear. I know frog hunters use them so they should work on toads.

I'm sure they would work just fine on our cane toads JMI,

I must say though that it does not sound like much fun.

To me its just one of my chores that get done most nights, and pretty boring realy.
So being able to use a range of interesting "utensils" takes the drudgery out of it.

I think the toads like a bit of variety too, I'm sure ive seen smiles on thier little faces as ive wacked them with totally unexpected items from around the back yard. :shifty:

Goodnight and Happy Toad wacking to all
