I have started seeing these pop up here in the US at Petco. I think it could work, but the filtration would maybe be good for some small fish or one medium fish. I find it a good push to spread information about aquaponics, but not quite there.

With a very affordable price point I could see it selling well. I just wonder if it will encourage people to put it in a well lit area to sustain the plants and then get algae problems in the tank as a result? You know that tropical aquariums are usually overstocked because the little fishes are so cute and cuddly.

couple of plecos would solve any algae issues.

a slightly better product than we normally see here, but still only one plant and it probably misleads people into thinking that one of them would stop the need for water changes.
