What's wrong with your old Greenfield, built like a brick shithouse and its Aussie made?

It is a good one Sleepe but been have issues with it lately. The drive brakes are shot and all the steering linkages are flogged right out. It got stuck in forwards on the weekend and drove me under a thick bush and it didn't feel good.

A new one would be sweet as bro.

Cheers Faye, I will vision it! :D

I do like Gazza's but Fayes will be hard to beat.

I hope you win it!!!

I just recently won a dozen hatching eggs. doesn't sound like much except that it was for a variety newly imported from England and quite rare here in the states. And the really cool thing is that the breeder ended up being fairly local to me so I decided to go pick them up instead of risking hatching eggs going through the mail, the guy gave me already hatched chicks instead!

I know to non-chicken people that sounds rather boring, but I had a couple of hundred people pretty jealous of me.

I once (late 1980s) won an anagram competition in a science magazine, a decent print processing machine- from the days before digital cameras, when lots of chemicals were involved. Oh and a few mountain bike races, including a 6 day stage race around Alice Springs in 2006 where I collected over $1000 prize money :) I chose to ride the last 3 stages with a broken hand too- since all prize money was forfeited if you didn't finish the whole race. The race nurse was a bit suspicious, but I assured her it was all ok and not broken :shifty: Some ouchiness was involved.

I was born in QLD, AU.
The AU part is really all that matters though and is enough of a win for me.

The QLD part will matter quite soon when the maroons have their own win and make it nine in a row. :thumbright:

ps - Charlie, since you've made the move to the (wrong part of the) east coast, you're about to discover what it means to be "Blue".

last year my daughter took a picture of a stuffed quoll eating an easter bunny and then I posted it on facebook and bullied all my friends into voting for the picture and she won a weekend for two at a luxury mountain retreat. Alex and I enjoyed it very much. The children stayed with their grandfather.

Only recently. When Pepsi and Doritos were giving away xbox 1's I was lucky enough to win one and a couple of turtle beach headsets that I can't use with the system

I won a berth/birth in Australia in 1966 which was easily the best thing that ever happened to me.

I won a second, third, forth, and fifth chance at life due to Australian tax payer's generosity and our health care system for which I am eternally greatfull.

Thanks Australian taxpayers where ever you are. I really do appreciate everything you've done for me on a daily basis.

If not for you I would be dead 5 times so far.

Then I won Mrs Bullwinkle's heart. That was pretty lucky as well.

Then I scored a pump, some BYAP magazines, thermometers, sticky aphid attracting things, and other cool stuff from a BYAP photo comp.

Once when my older brother was 12, he won an entire box of fredo frogs from a local TV comp, then later won Fleetwood Mac's "Tusk" album after calling a radio station 20 minutes after they asked people to call in to win it.

He gave me a fredo frog, so I guess that's a win as well.

I also got a nice mum, and the ability to discern the quality of any other parents I may have had.

That turned out to be a win as well.

So yeah... I've won nearly everything, Especially when you compare it to the average "everyone else" on earth.

I might have a good story for this one. When I was 18 I lived in a house with 3 other guys. I received a phone call and was chosen to win side by side burial plots in a cemetery! I was freaked out and told them to give it away to someone else and ended the call. When I told my friends one of them had the bright idea that I should have taken it and sold it. Makes sense. So. A couple weeks goes by and low and behold I won them again. The thought of keeping them lasted about another millisecond longer than the first and I turned it down again.

:occasion5: Interesting thread!

I won a $750 BINGO on my honeymoon. We were on a Mexican Riviera cruise. My wife had to talk me into going that day, lol. It was the X pattern and I won on 10 calls. Even the caller doubted that anyone could get it that quick! I also hit a $150 that same cruise. The $900 nearly paid our entire alcohol bill.

posting.php?mode=smilies&f=5&start=150#

A couple of years ago I decided to really do it up for Halloween. I grew my hair out for a year and a half so I could don a spectacular mullet, My wife frosted the tips and everything. Add a killer fu manchu, a 2 sizes too small wife beater, and some above-the-pocket cut off jean shorts(daisy dukes) and you get the Best Costume winner down at the bar. The prize was a $20 gift certificate to that bar and a cheap plastic trophy.
Well, the bar closed before the first of the year and I didn't even get my 20 bucks worth of drinks. The real kicker was the bar reopened under new management and the next year 1st prize won $500 cash! I still put it in the W column though.
