Hi
Recently my son and I completed the Camino de Santiago.
This is a pilgrimage to the cathedral of Saint James in Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain.
We walked an average of 25 Km per day. At night we stayed in pilgrim hostels.
By day we walked through vineyards and corn fields. The smell of trodden rosemary and wild mint in the heat of the day lingers today.
A very typical dish of Galicia contains ‘turnip tops’ Unobtainable in the UK I searched Spanish seed shops for them. In appearance the stalk resembles Brussel sprouts but the “little cabbage’ is instead a broad ‘kale like leaf’
that is picked on a , come and come again, basis.
Grelos.
One night we stayed as guests in a monastery in Padron.
This area is famous for small green peppers. One in a hundred has a hot chilli taste.
Again the seeds are difficult to find.
Last week I found seeds for both plants.
Happiness is a packet of seeds
Titus
