AUSTRALIA has a, ‘wild card’ entry to this years Eurovision Song Contest.
I am not sure how many of you have seen this show!
Serious music lovers should possibly ,’lower their’ expectations’
Anyone with a sense of the ,’ironic’ tinged with perhaps a dose of ‘sarcasm’ are in for a fun night!
Enjoy!

Hi
Live on TV in 40 mins from Vienna ( possibly one hour forty minutes CET) Eurovision semi -Finals
I understand the Australian entry is a guy called, Guy Sebastian. Good luck to him!
( what sort of music does he sing?)
Cannot understand why you guys are so quiet about it!

Love Eurovision - have watched it for years!

Didn't need to get up at stupid-o-clock this morning to watch the semi-final live as our wildcard entry, Guy Sebastian, is straight into the final. Will have a look at the replay tonight to see what the competition is. Apparently the bookies have Guy at No. 3. For those who may not be aware, here in Australia there is a sub-culture of Eurovision parties where people dress up and get together to watch the telecast on SBS.

I am torn this weekend :dontknow: - the Giro d Italia is heading into the mountains (I am so tired already with the late nights! :support: ), the Monaco F1 GP is on, and its the Eurovision final.

BTW, Guy was a winner of one of those TV talent shows several years ago and is a very talented young man. Not particularly my kind of music, but I can appreciate his talent, and its a catchy pop song.

Hiya Titus :wave1:
Guy won our Australian Idol maybe first or second series. Yes, he can sing and has sold many albums. Not my kind of music tho. (R.I.P. BB.)

We got invited into the Aisian Cup too and had to listen to the carry on from the other countries after we won it.
Quietly, I think we are all behind him but don't really want to admit it.
good luck Guy
