Just curious, has anyone tried incorporating BSFL (black soldier fly larvae) into a dish prepared for people to eat?

If not, have you wanted to? Other than the "ewww" factor, what reservations do you have (health, or otherwise?)

Lastly, how ethically ...bankrupt... would it be to feed insects to some of your friends without telling them until after they've finished their meal?

No more ethically bankrupt than feeding someone a freegan meal without their knowledge.

As a chef, I couldn't think of many ways to sneak it in there without blending them up and mixing it with something more potent. Then it kind of defeats the purpose.

I'd rank ethically along sneaking meat into a vegetarians dish.

Aside from any horrendous cooking skills on your part, I'm against doing this. Your friends need to know and might get mad if they don't.

Depends on how good of friend they are, and if you want to keep them as a friend. personally, it wouldn't bother me, providing it was safe, I didn't get sick.

I'd rather eat "good" bugs then "bad" oysters. :wave1:
