this is kind of modified instead of the legal 250 watt motor it has a 500 watt motor
Had it for 5 years done heaps of kms still the same battery set

There is a legal size motor and an illegal size motor? Are you saying their is a law that limits the size of an electric motor on a bike?

Yes here in Australia bikes scooters ect with up to a 250 watt motor can be ridden on the road without a licence
or insurance over that you need licence 3rd party insurance

One of my toys.. bought the hull unfinishished for $700 and then spent wayyyy to much time and money building it.. but it was worth it... these were cool in the 80's before jetskis took over.. here in Oz it was called an Aqua Lark and in the US Addictor (came in three sizes this being the smallest)
Does between 60-70km/h seats 2 and has an electric start 30hp 2 stroke Tohatsu with a CMC trim tilt unit.
very fun! :D
It's not very green :D being 2 stroke it chews fuel but I do tend to run it full throttle ALL the time so at least not too much unburnt oil gets into the water.
Perhaps I make up for it by having an electric bicycle too and a trailer
