Very nice, ours is an inside pig too, thankfully she is about as big as she is going to get length and height wise, only takes up two seats on a 3 seater so leaves room for me :D
I find she is very easy to train as well as she is forever wanting food

Wow, you guys with the pigs a seriously weird

Careful Mantis, there may be more of us soon. I am in the market for one hehehe. Was woken by texts coming in at 6am this morning with baby photos of pigs that are weaned and ready to go. I am holding out for a miniature male pet pig that is white, and for the right price. The nursery hasn't been built yet, need a house of straw, one of bricks and one of sticks  Nothing wrong with us Mantis! Of course mine will come to the BYAP shop during the day.

Ours ran away one day and broke into the local zoo around a mile away.

Free peanuts in every single kids pockets.

He could smell kids with food in their pockets a mile away :)

Zander stopped living inside unsupervised the day he got big enough to move the fridge.

And they really are smart. Our's would make a sound that sounded a bit like "o-oh" so I trained him to say it a little clearer until it sounded like the sound a kid makes when something bad is about to happen. As in "O-oh, that anvil is going to fall on Daffy's head".

To cut a long training story short he ended up asking to go outside to drop some nutrient by standing at the door saying "O-Oh" in a very clear, human, albeit enormous, voice.

It always freaked the guests out :)

That was his only trick, but they are easy to train (especially when its a behaviour they already kind of do, like the "O-Oh"), but I'm not sure you could get obedience like you can easily get from a dog. You could teach a dog so that it would sit next to a pile of food and starve to death. A pig would just eat it.

We were on a big property where all the animals were retired old farm animals that were just to keep the grass down and not for the plate. The result was sheep would die of old age (unusual for a sheep in australia), where they would be put into a pit. These sheep were the pig's friends. On day one after they died he would push them around and try to make them stand (he'd also try to lift them if they were sick and went down), day two ignore them, and by day three he would eat them.

A very practical outlook indeed, and one we could all learn from :)

this was on for happy hour at BYAP, a juicy, colourful cocktail spiked with vodka. A bit of dutch courage before the rabbit processing began. Aaah its all in a days work.
Contents included banana, mango, pear and baby spinach, with a touch of vodka and garnished with a sprig of mint, served in a stemmed wine glass, cause we don't have cocktail glasses yet. No decorum :dontknow:

Better than drinking beer out of a paper cup
