Anyone watch the garden gurus this arvo? I just saw it now, and Trevor said that he grew two crops of trout last winter, had to watch it twice to be sure. But yep, 2 crops of trout up to 500g each over the winter. Me thinks someone started with very big trout to begin with....

its doable if you get big trout. Rang new fish farm here and he had, fingerlings, yearlings , and biggeys.
so growing out in one season is still dodgey ,cause just keeping grown fish is not growing out

Yeah so what... I recently added a couple of 700gm Silver Perch to my tank...

Took me all of about an hour to get them to that size... roughly the time it took me to drive home...

Well I am actually struggling to see the plant side of aquaponics in the video clip... very little growbeds... seems more emphasis put on the growing of the fishes than the plants...

Yeah, they were flogging the same "supplier company" last time....

I think in response to some criticism... they suggested that the segment wasn't solicited by the company involved... guess it wasn't this time either.... :laughing3:

And for the observant ones, notice that most of the fish shots at the start are all silver perch filmed here at our shop. So are half the shots of growbeds with plants in them at the start.

WHAT!!! Next thing you will be telling me that companies pay for favourable segments promoting their products on reputable currant affairs programmes like ACA and Today Tonight!

I am truly shocked

The good thing about science is that you don't have to believe in it for it to be right.

Well the good thing of last night's segment is that some people at the Garden Week today saw it and have come knowing something abt Aquaponics.

Was saving my time up to add photos, and have just realised after looking at the camera pics Freoboy is not only happy to be photographed but he is also very happy to take photographs, well done Ben :headbang:
