Howzit guys and gals

I have an opportunity to 'spread the word' with regards to AP in South Africa and need a little help..

I need a whack load of hi resolution pics that I can create a back drop of images for a stand at one of joburgs premier food and wine shows, as they say 1 image speaks a thousand words or summing like that.

Pics of everything and anything to do with your systems(plants, fish, setups ect)

Any and all will be appreciated.

Thanks guys, will post pics when the show is over and hopefully a success for AP :D

Cheers
Andrew

Will they be used for any other reason other than this particular show?

IE you wont all of a sudden become one of those affiliates thinking you now have permission to use the images for anything you want?

I didn't mean to start an attack. SORRY! But you only have 4 posts so far so we will all be a little cautious.

Yep I havent posted for a while, I do more reading when I'm online which is few and far between.
My ibc system has only been running for a few months and I havent started a thread or updated the indoor system thread due to lack of time mostly and the fact that everyone uses this PC so even when I have time its not possible.

Sorry to create uncertainty I suppose its warranted.

The pics will be used as a collage to fill an area of about 10sq/m solely to make the stand 'greener'
I have no other use for them really. I will have pics of my system and of my future system in there as well but need more to fill the area and to show the possibilities of AP.
My IBC system will be on display as well to give people an idea on how it works an the type of plants and fish that can be grown.

It'll help a lot next time Spoja if you build some credibility/relationship with people before you go asking them for private material they've worked hard to create.

Request for material from people unknown to us is not that irregular, and use of pirated images is even less irregular which is why, as Mantis said, we're a little reluctant to just volunteer this to anybody.

No worries guys, I understand where you're coming from. I've been reading and learning from this forum for over a year now and even though I don't post much I see now that I know more about your endeavours than you know about mine. I will try and rectify by starting a thread for my larger garden system:)

Don't get me wrong, but what I was looking at for the back drop is not necessarily pics of your systems design, but rather pics of whats been grown as in fish and plants, for example on bullwinkles thread there is an awesome close-up pic of a new lettuce sprout and some other guys threads that have pics of their flourishing grow beds and fish that they have caught, ready for the pan.
Its more for the atmosphere of the stand than anything else and to show what grows well.

But if your uncomfortable with sending me stuff, thats fine i understand.

Cheers
Andrew

Hi Andrew. Are you planning on selling systems in South Africa or is it just to see if there is any interest?

Hi Brian

Yes I am planning on selling units and customizing existing ponds into AP systems in South Africa and the aim of the show is mainly to see if there is interest in AP which I think there will be. There's been an increase in interest in self sufficiency and going green in SA which has prompted this move as well as friends and family suggesting that there's an opportunity for AP to grow after seeing my system at work.

Right now the system we are looking at is the flow bin or IBC unit because of its relative cheapness and countless ways of using them.

Whats the interest like in CT is it gaining popularity or still quite an unknown?

Cheers
Andrew

There's quite a big difference between an aquarium with a few floating herbs... and a working aquaponics system Andrew...

Have you built a system other than the one pictured in your thread of Sept 2010???

Have you contacted Synaptoman at all... he's been heavily involved, both personally and with larger "semi-commercal" systems in South Africa for several years...
