Just wondering if anyone knows of any Aquaponics retailers, traders, or outlets in Melbourne/Victoria?
I can list 3 and a brief discription of each.

1. Agromatic Corporation Pty Ltd
trading as Autopot Systems
810 Springvale Road,
Braeside (Melbourne),
Victoria 3195,
Australia
http://www.autopot.com.au/default.aspx?PageID=A9C2C317-D440-4C40-8283-4A650FCBEB76

This store has an extensive Autopot/Aquaponics System that has been up and running for
over 2 years. Their system is slightly out of the ordinary from the conventional systems we all talk about here but essentially it is Aquaponics. Their FT's actually provides water for the most part of the Gardenworld Nursery Complex. They stock all sorts of Autopot products but I did buy my Hydroton (clay pebbles) for my grow medium for a reasonable price.

2. Aussie Aquaponics,
50 Gordon Ave
Geelong West 3218.
P: 0352 218 630, M:0400 218 989 ,
aussieaquaponics@bigpond.com

Have not been here yet but found them eventually through google search.
They seem to have an extensive stock of various aquaponics items from pumps, hydroton, syphon kits etc.

3. Melbourne Aquaponics,
90 Marylyn Place,
Cranbourne Vic
3977
http://www.melbourneaquaponics.com.au/

Again i have not been here and their website is very vague and doesn't have much online shop items bar one kit system.

Feel free to add any more whether online stores or otherwise. I have found it quite hard to find any store close to me. Even somewhere to see a system up and running before jumping in head first or someone (until here) to bounce ideas off.

Dean at Grow fresh Aquaponics is the man to see.... great customer service... and he stocks the BYAP equipment.

I know he is currently working on the website so what you see at the moment is just temporary.

Dean is in MontMorency. Northern suburbs. A great guy. Reseller of Joel's stuff. Give him a call, if he can't help you he'll point you at somebody who can

Hi Bndybear and all other Aquaponists in Melb and Victoria.

We are currently setting up a retail store to display BYAP style systems and will stock Aquaponic equipment to help build your own systems.

Our site we also have a R&D to test our new system designs and ideas.

We also plan to stock Silver Perch, Trout and Murray Cod on site so as to reduce your travel to outer fish farms.

Aquaponists in Melb will find it to be a great place for the exchange of ideas and info to benefit all in local food production.

Hope to see you all at our opening day which we will announce in the future.

Dean

Ah thanks Dean, I am looking forward to visiting on the open day, and look forward to the website completion. Thanks for the update.
I think the fish stocking could be a handy little venture.

Hi.
In the first post, Food & Fish listed 'Aussie Aquaponics' in Gordon Ave, Geelong as a supplier. That has now closed down.

Laurie.

Rup.

At least 6 weeks ago or maybe a little longer. It is now being used as a car park.
Check out his website, you will be amazed. Nothing to do with fish.
