So I finally got the MSDS from the manufacturer.

Seems that the only ingredient classed as toxic is vinyl acetate present at 0.3%. Even then the LD50 in rats is 2g/kg which is a pretty substantial amount to have to ingest in a human. I think scraping out the IBC and put the scrapings in landfill should remove most of the residue. The rest can be sprayed off with a high pressure hose. According to google, polyvinyl acetates can be eliminated by caustic solutions, so a good scrub with chlorine bleach should finish off the cleanup.

Time to get started!

one thing to watch with AP is lead in old bath tubs.
i'd be very interested in seeing a laboratory test done on an AP system looking for heavy metals.
