Help.... I need some advice please. I have just bought a new refractometer to check the salt and it says it goes to 10%, however on the calibration screen it says, 0 - 100 % on one side and 1.000 - 1.070 on the d 20/20 side.

it is a RFS 10/ATC

I assume the 1 - 100 % side means 10% tops, but I want to be sure. I don't want to add too much salt.

RIght now my reading is .6 on the % side. or 1.06 on the 20/20 side.

I have a 100 lt tank but it is not completely full so I think I want to get it to 1ppt?
Thanks,

Linda

The bumbers on the right I think will be ppt, not percent, which is parts per hundred. Get it till it reads 1 and that will be ppt

Or work it out... 1ppt... is 1kg of salt/1000L...

So a 100L tank would require 100gms of salt....

I think Linda has a 1000 litre tank! So that would be 1 kg salt to 1000 litres. 1ppt
