I use red scoria. I've been fine except lately I've started to grow a third nipple. Dunno if its related or not.

Haha nah, the only problem I have found is that its rough on the plants, especially seedlings. When I transplant them, some get shredded by the gravel if I'm not careful. It was easy to wash! I like it cause its light and you don't have to worry about weight.

Somewhere on this board is a topic/picture of someone who washed red scoria, and ended up with loads of concrete-hard residue. There was a pic of the bucket used for cleaning. Does this ring a bell? Anyone remember where that post is? My search-fu is weak today...

Thanks!

Thanks!

Maybe not these one but I were left with over 20cm of deposit in the barrel after washing that lot.
Great for filing gaps between the pawers.
