the top has a square profile corrugated iron lid on it. We were thinking of using a section of the corrugations for outflow from the growbed back into the tank. I've been told we'll have to put a layer of concrete with some waterproofing stuff in a layer on the bottom.
But yes, it is a great score!

Well, the first of the major grow bed tanks arrived today.

I spotted an old and buggered corrugated iron tank at Mitre 11 yesterday. Unfortunately at the time I had a ute full of pipes and steel. :wink:

So today my darling husband went back and offered them the princely sum of $20 for a 2m diam tank. The bottom of it is rusted out, but flip it over, cut off the rusty bits and hey presto! A 1000L grow bed!
YAY! :lol:
