AP provides a lot more than many think ..... excercise , mental gymnastics, healthy good tasting veggies and fish. It could be the "health kick" of the future,,,I can see Doctors prescribing AP .

Yes the tubs are lined, one with pond liner the other with bituminous paint.

Mechanical cleaning is cheating :geek:

Are you getting it really clean, or just cleanish?

Just getting the worst of it.
Even with the mixer, it takes too much water to the gravel 100% clean.

I can't see my fish now, so a bit of mineral dust can only be good for the plants.

Lowest water temp so far is 10.7 degrees.
At the moment the average appears to be about 12 degrees.
Trout are loving it. :D
SP fingerling's (50mm) appear healthy but only eat every second day.

Hi Folks,
The guys over the border are having their party next week.
We can't let them have all the fun.
I propose a get together at my place - Plympton.
I'm looking at 9/10th August or 23/24th August.
Who's keen?
Any preferences for dates?
Please reply here

Nice, you're not even heating it or anything are you. Watch it though, if it gets down below 8ish the bacteria stop working and your ammonia spikes. My water temp is 6 degrees in the mornings these days. Ammonia is high
