Just been to the local Landmark depot where I regularly buy chemicals from IBC =$350.00 each good god not me. any ideas cheaper in South Oz

Probably not as they are around $1k mark at our suppliers

Ask your landmark dudes to keep any damaged returned ibcs for you that they cant send back. I am getting them free this way

Sounds a bit ritzy Nash, last time I got a new price it was $350 +Gst, ok that was about 3-4 years ago...

I still don't understand the attraction of IBC. Are stock tanks more expensive over there? Here they are a much better bang for you buck.

Stock troughs from $600 for 2000L to $$$
Growbeds from $350 for 500L

Ibc new $350?
Food grade used once $200?
Acceptable used once $100?

We don't have rubbermaid or other more viable alternatives.

Edit. Especially worse in Vic. I cannot find a small footprint high volume fishtank. All I can find are 2.3m+ diameter tanks. I cannot find <2.3m diameter tanks with greater than 2000L volume.

Yup...looks like this one maybe the go

3440 Litre Squat Water Tank
- Diameter 1830mm
- Total Height 1490mm
- Inlet Height 1490mm
- Fitted with 500mm mosquito proof strainer, 90mm overflow and 1 inch BSP brass outlet

I'll just need to cap the brass outlet and completely isolate the brass

From the image, you can see I can cut the top off whilst maintaining the "lip" for structural integrity.

Either that or will have to look at a normal water tank and cut it off, but will need to reinforce the top so it doesnt cave in on itself.
