If you live in Western Australia and would like to hear a little more about the benefits of aquaponics as well as a few of my favourite photos, then make a booking with the library soon. Places are limited!
Details are as follows!

Hooked on Aquaponics – the only catch is the fish!

Greenmount Library
4 Scott Street Grennmount
Thursday the 10th of May at 10am

Backyard Aquaponics is a business located in Jandakot, WA and pioneered by Joel Malcolm, author of the “Backyard Aquaponics Manual”. Faye Arcaro, ABC’s 2007 Australian Gardener of the Year, is part of the business that boasts the world’s first retail Aquaponics display centre.
The Aquaponics concept is especially suited to low rainfall areas and combines hydroponic and aquaculture principles in a symbiotic relationship between plants and fish. It is based on a recirculating system that requires minimal water and no chemical fertilisers or pesticides.
Aquaponics is all about “easy gardening” and working with nature in an environmentally friendly and sustainable way.
Look for information about their entry in the Telstra Business Awards at http://www.backyardaquaponics.com.au
Bookings are essential and can be made by telephone on 9294 1421

Just a reminder that it's on tomorrow. I'v just finished putting together the photos for the presentation in the Greenmount Library. Oh you are probably all thinking I couldn't bare to sit through Fayes slideshow LOL! Never mind there are 15 people booked in so far, so I'll have a captive audience

Well John after yesterdays presentation there will more than likely be another presentation to come in the future as there are already 4 starters who would be keen for an evening talk. It may also be a possibility to do it from the Mundaring library. The feedback was very positive and today we received an email form one of the attendees which is as follows ;-
Quote:
Faye,

Just a short note of appreciation and a compliment on your professional, informative presentation at the Greenmount Library today.

It was only by chance that I happened to pick up your flier when exchanging my books.

Passed the info onto my sons and friends at the bowling club and those that attended were equally impressed.

We had the kiddies corner all to ourselves which was a great area, a couple of pics before the guests arrived.
