If Aquaponics were to have a theme song what would it be? Just before turning on your system for the first time what music might you listen to?

I vote for this:

Thanks Country Boy! I love MacGyver. It used to be on every week at 7:30pm on Tuesdays here in Perth WA back in the 90's. It's great that younger generations love it too.

Yeh according to Myth Busters, playing loud metal music encourages growth in plants more so than classical music. My theory is that it has something to do with the vibrations caused by the sound waves and that metal music has more of the right frequency that somehow aids in the growth of plants. Maybe the vibrations caused by the metal music adds just the right amount of resistance to the plant to grow so it releases some kind of growth hormone and grows faster as a result? The Myth Busters tests aren't perfect though and you would need a University to monitor or do the test to get some "concrete" data.

Bob the builder is a good one especially for little ones :thumbright:

For some reason I think "Perpetuuam Mobile" by Penguin Cafe Orchestra seems to fit very well with Aquaponics.

And also "Music For A Found Harmonium" by Penguin Cafe Orchestra:

Not strictly AP as it actually shows a disturbing attempt at dirt farming (maybe they were pioneering AP in a different direction?) Still, its a gem I remember from my wasted youth.

It really resonates with my 4 year old. Sad commentary on my "grown-up" mentality.

Give me a home amongst the gum trees
With lots of tomato plants
A trout or two, s-silver perch
A grow bed out the back
Fish tank out the front
And an old postie bike

All on Joel's Backyard :flower:
