Flying or driving, Dave? I prefer an inland route that leaves I95 just south of Jaxville and gets on I4 west of Orlando. And, coincidentally is about 1/2 a mile from TC's current place. Alot less stressful than Daytona and Orlando traffic and more scenic.

Uh? No perhaps my mailing address is close to I4 but The old house is actually up quite some drive from I4, Dave visited me last time he came down so he knows where the old place is.

The new place is actually fairly close to the North End of the Turnpike.

My route comes down highway 19 through Palatka and the national forest, then down 441 to the toll road to get back on I-4.
I didn't mean going past your place after I was back on I4.

ATM we are at a hotel in Orlando, didn't make it to Savannah yesterday, stayed in Fayetteville yesterday. Traffic was murder until NC, I so hate driving through VA. Took 95 then I4 here, Orlando was the worst part of the whole day, SC was a dream, so nice. Going to Sea World for awhile tomorrow then over to Tampa. Maybe we can coordinate to visit some Carolinians on the way back up?

Your off the hook Dave,
I got a local Aquaponic Helper to come out today and we managed to dig out one stall of the fish shed and level it enough to place one of the 1000 gallon tanks.
Who would have thunk aquaponics would involved shoveling horse manure.
Go figure, who would have thunk I could pay some one to do it in manure? Well they went home with two bins of the aged manure a bin of worm/worm castings and then we went over to the old place so they could see the aquaponics and take home some produce.

Yea coming down 19 to 441 puts ya going sort of close to the new place but like 4 blocks from my old place. Now instead of going all the way into downtown Orlando on 441 to get to I4 back to disney, I would recommend heading down the new 429 to get to the back of disney but that is a toll road.

on your way back... coming up 95 into NC just jump onto 74/76 east just before Lumberton and it takes you right into wilmington

then you can jump on I40 and hit 95 again..

Whewww! Finally back from the family vaca in the caribbean. If you are still traveling Dave, I'm north of Charleston. You'd have to travel US17 to find me, but then could just stay on it to run into JT up in Wilmington. There's a little place called Myrtle Beach that some folks like in between us. You might have heard of it
And, TC, I love that toll road (429). Like $2 or 3 bucks and its smooth sailing the whole way to WDW's back door.

Well we're back, family vacation was on rails mostly and sorry I didn't go off track to visit, maybe next time! Drove over 1000 miles in the last two days to get home.

Hot weather for traveling down here. The AC in the car doesn't seem to be working well and the poor puppy seemed to drooping just as much as we were when we got home the other day.

Glad y'all are home safe. I would rather have spent my time in Orlando (and maybe shovelling some horse poo over at TC's new farm) than out on the cruise ship, but since I didn't pay, I don't complain.
Next time you head south, try to work in a Carolina Coast drive. I'll give you a tour of historic Charleston and "Barrelponics" Haney is not to far off the beaten path between me and JT.

Ah, by the next time he gets down here, there won't be any more horse poo to shovel. Maybe some worm castings to sift though.

This is what the plants looked like when I got back after a week of neglect - four foot tall lettuce anyone?

Since have cleared it all out and am trying to get beans and other warm weather stuff going. The greenhouse needs to be changed to a shadehouse, if the weather keeps up like this.
